Counselor ProgramCounselors are at the frontlines of daily activities. They generally oversee most of the day to day aspects of the camp. A counselor or team of two counselors are responsible for a group of around twenty similarly aged campers. They spend most of the day and daily activities with their group and assisting in classes.
In addition, it is their role to help train and mold the Counselors in Training (CIT) for future positions as counselors. Each counselor is unique and we're looking for responsible and creative young adults to fill these roles.
Counselors are usually at least 18 years of age and entering college at the time of their first counselor position and have usually spent several successful years in the CIT programs themselves. Although this is not necessary, it does give them a benefit of knowing the ins and outs of the camp before taking on a demanding leadership position.
Contact Camp Director (see contact page) if you are interested in this type of position. We are always looking for new members to join our team. An interview is generally conducted and satisfactory CORI/SORI results are required to be in this program. Application forms can be downloaded from the download forms page.
