Our Vision

ExplorAsian aims to provide campers with a fun, social environment to build lifelong friendships while exploring what it means to be Chinese American. Through workshops, elective classes like Chinese cooking, dance, t-shirt making, and evening activities, we hope to empower youth to become leaders who are aware of their identity. Our aim is for campers to understand:

  • How can I be a leader?
  • How can I use my knowledge of Chinese American history, my identity, and my experiences at ExplorAsian to better understand and impact my community?

The goal of ExplorAsian is to empower youth to become leaders in their communities. ExplorAsian is sponsored by the Greater Boston Chinese Cultural Association (GBCCA). Our staff is composed of teachers, former counselors, college students, and professionals from various fields, all working together to realize our vision.
