Parents-On-Duty (POD) information

Overnight/ExplorAsian Program POD Schedule

NECYSC is a unique camp in that we are primarily run by volunteers. We require parents of Overnight and ExplorAsian campers to volunteer during camp week to assist with the many tasks needed for operation and safety. In previous years, we required one Parent-On-Duty (POD) shift per each registered camper.

New this year, we will only require one shift per family.

To clarify, if you have multiple children attending our camp, you will only be required to sign up for one POD shift. However, parents are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts if interested. POD is optional for the Day Program, although we encourage parents to help out. If you are a parent of a Day camper and interested in volunteering during camp week, please contact us.

CORI/SORI Information

Massachusetts state law requires that NECYSC, like all youth summer camps, collect information from all volunteers at camp. That information includes full name as it appears on a state-issued ID (like a driver's license or passport), date of birth, and the last SIX digits of the volunteer's social security number. This information is used for the sole purpose of the Criminal Offender Registration Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registration Information (SORI) background checks, to safeguard our campers. For more information, please visit the following sites:

Required CORI and SORI forms are included in the appropriate application packet.
